Alright everyone. Let's play a game. It's called, "Why is America obese?"

Is it...?

A) Our national inclination towards excess and greed

B) Our lack of responsibility to take care of the children we created

Or is it

C) DORITO SANDWICH

Yes people, that is a link to a recipe for a Dorito sandwich. In case you haven't clicked the link, it's a handful of Doritos, piled on white bread smothered in butter.

1 in every 3 children are obese. I don't think I even had a Dorito until I was in Junior High. I learned from my parents what to eat and what not to eat- to this day I'll only drink diet soda because it's the only thing my mom would buy. Though that's not a very convincing argument on how healthy I ate growing up, the point is that children follow example. Actions speak louder than words, and right now, America is making it's children Dorito sandwiches and buying chicken nuggets and large sodas and counting french fries as vegetables for their children.

This is all coming from a girl cramming Cheez-Its into her mouth at work... But these dinners that I updated about are sprouting from childhood memories of my mother cooking dinner every night and the three of us eating at the table. Listening to my mom complain about her various jobs, and learning about the importance of small businesses from my dad.

Ronald McDonald shouldn't be raising our children.
